Welcome to SpellWiz. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

SpellWiz is designed to respect your privacy. We collect minimal data necessary for the app to function:

• Learning Progress: We store your CEFR level progress, quiz scores, and missed words. This data is stored locally on your device using SQLite and AsyncStorage. We do not upload your personal learning history to our servers.
• Device Information: Basic device information may be processed by third-party services for technical performance and debugging.

2. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services which may collect data according to their own privacy policies:

• Google AdMob: We show advertisements to keep the app free. Google may use advertising identifiers from your device to show personalized or non-personalized ads. You can manage these settings in your device's privacy menu.
• Firebase (Google): We use Firebase to host the vocabulary content and CEFR word lists. While we do not track individual users, Firebase may collect basic telemetry to ensure the reliable delivery of app content.

3. Children's Privacy

SpellWiz is a general audience educational app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

4. Data Security

Since most of your data is stored locally on your device, the security of your learning progress depends on your device's security. We use industry-standard practices for the small amount of data transmitted to third-party services.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to clear your learning data at any time through the "Settings" menu inside the app. This will permanently remove your progress, XP, and missed words from your device storage.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
