CryptoCat is designed to be privacy-first. We do not collect, store, or share your personal data on our servers. The App operates primarily as a local tool for tracking cryptocurrency prices and simulating trading.

We do not collect sensitive personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or physical location. We do not require you to create an account to use the App.

b. Device Data and Usage

The App stores certain data strictly locally on your device using your device's internal storage (AsyncStorage). This includes:

• Portfolio Data: Your simulated trading history, asset balances, and portfolio value.
• Favorites: The list of cryptocurrency coins you have marked as favorites.
• App Settings: Your preferences, such as theme settings (Dark Mode) or notification toggles.

This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to us.

2. Nature of Service (Simulated Trading)

Important: CryptoCat is a simulation and educational tool only.

• No Real Money: All trading within the App is performed with virtual "dummy" currency. No real purchase, sale, or exchange of actual cryptocurrency or fiat money takes place.
• No Financial Risks: The portfolio performance is for demonstration purposes. Users cannot deposit, withdraw, or lose real money through the App.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party APIs to fetch public cryptocurrency market data. These services may receive your IP address as part of the standard network request required to fetch data.

• CoinGecko API: Used to display market lists, coin details, and charts.
• Binance WebSocket: Used to display live, real-time price updates for select coins.

Please refer to the privacy policies of these providers if you have concerns about how they handle network request metadata.

4. Data Deletion

Since all user data (portfolio, favorites, settings) is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You can delete your data at any time by:

• Using the "Clear Cache" or "Reset Portfolio" options within the App's settings or portfolio page.
• Uninstalling the App, which will permanently remove all local data associated with it.

5. Children's Privacy

Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
